Role description

We are looking for a commercially sharp Marketing Manager to take ownership of strategic marketing across residential and commercial customer segments. This is a broad, hands-on role - covering brand, campaigns, content and sales enablement - with direct accountability for ensuring marketing activity translates into measurable business outcomes. The right candidate will be equally comfortable setting strategy and rolling up their sleeves to deliver it. Core Responsibilities Strategy & Brand • Shape and implement annual marketing plans that directly support revenue growth and customer acquisition targets. • Drive brand consistency and positioning across all customer-facing channels and markets. • Develop audience-specific messaging frameworks that support acquisition, retention and engagement goals. • Ensure all marketing activity is commercially grounded and aligned with wider business priorities. Campaigns & Channel Execution • Plan and deliver integrated campaigns spanning digital, print, email and other relevant channels. • Build and execute customer engagement programmes that increase brand visibility and drive conversion. • Own campaign performance reporting - analysing results and continuously optimising for ROI. • Support product launches, promotional campaigns and customer communications end to end. Content & Commercial Enablement • Produce high-quality marketing materials including case studies, presentations, digital content and campaign assets. • Develop a library of sales support collateral that helps commercial teams acquire and retain customers more effectively. • Maintain rigorous brand and tone-of-voice standards across all output. Stakeholder & Supplier Management • Build strong working relationships with Commercial, Customer, Digital and Operational teams. • Manage agencies and external suppliers - holding them to quality standards, timelines and agreed budgets. • Act as a credible marketing voice within the wider business, influencing how the function is perceived and prioritised. Insight & Optimisation • Establish clear marketing KPIs and report on them consistently. • Draw on market, customer and campaign data to identify opportunities and refine approach. • Bring a test-and-learn mindset to all activity, with a bias toward impact over output. What We’re Looking For • A commercially oriented marketer who understands the link between marketing activity and revenue. • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at multiple levels of the organisation. • A disciplined project manager - able to handle multiple workstreams without dropping standards. • Driven by outcomes, not just activity. Experience & Qualifications • Degree-level qualification in Marketing, Business, Communications or equivalent. • Solid marketing experience gained in energy, utilities, technical services or a comparable B2B or B2C environment. • Demonstrable success running integrated campaigns that have contributed to lead generation and growth. • Strong written communication and content creation skills. • Experience producing materials that support field sales or account management teams. • Confident working with data and translating insight into action. • Agency and supplier management experience is a plus.
